RUPAK MEHTA, one of the most talented artist, Actor, Dancer [Bharatnatyam] and Indian percussion [Tabla] have been giving his services in the field of performing arts since last 27 years and has sound training both in practical and theoretical aspects. Rupak is a versatile accomplished artist and has a natural flair towards acting, music and dance.

Academically Rupak has pursued B.A. with English Lit. and M.F.A in dance. He had the honour of securing First class in the Diploma course (Natyashastra) in BharataNatyam from Nalanda Dance Research Centre.
He has won several awards / titles like Nalanda Nriya-Nipurna, Sringar Mani Award, Gopikrishna National Award, Kalaimamani Kadirvellu Paillai Achievement Award, Humanity Excellence Award, Nritya Nishtha National Award, Natya Mayuram Award, Amrapali Abhinav Ador, Brahma Ratna Award, Nritya Varsha Deep Award and Kanak Sadhaka Award at the prestigious festival in the classical field of dance for the professionals.
He has great panache for choreography and has been specially trained in the art of Natuvangum [Playing of the rhythmic symbols] while conducting the dance program.
Rupak played a role to depict Neelkanth Varni, the teenage yogi, on screen, for the ‘Mystic India’ IMAX movie which was shot in large format and released worldwide. He reprised the same role – the elder Neelkanth Varni – in the ‘Neelkanth Yatra’ large format IMAX movie, which is being exhibited at Swaminarayan Akshardham, New Delhi. He was invited to LONDON for the premier and had the privilege to promote the film with The Royal Highnesses, PRINCE CHARLES (Prince of Wales) and CAMILLA PARKER (Duchess of Cornwall) who were the Guests of Honour at the function.
He choreographed dance segments of the water shows at renowned Swaminarayan Akshardham, Gandhinagar, Guajarat and at New Delhi. He has additionally performed other tasks such as directing over five hundred poses to carve religious and cultural statues used at Akshardham.
He had the opportunity to perform worldwide popularizing the divinity and the rich culture of India. Rupak is highly qualified in comparison to his age and his performances have been highly acclaimed from the top critics and art lovers and has travelled extensively nationally and internationally.
